El mexicano Rodrigo Prieto fue nominado este martes a los Premios Oscar de 2024 por su trabajo de fotografía en la película Los asesinos de la luna.

Él competirá en la categoría de Mejor Cinematografía contra las cintas El Conde, Maestro, Oppenheimer y Pobres Criaturas.

Prieto ya fue nominado al Oscar a la mejor fotografía por su trabajo en Brokeback Mountain, del director Ang Lee; por El irlandés, de Martin Scorsese; y por Silence, también de Scorsese.

Fue nominado a los Premios BAFTA por Babel, de Alejandro González Iñárritu.

Ha ganado cinco veces el Premio Ariel, otorgado por la Academia Mexicana de Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas, por las cintas Sobrenatural, Fibra óptica, Un embrujo, Amores perros y Biutiful.

Estudió en el Centro de Capacitación Cinematográfica, en la generación de Ignacio Ortiz.[cita requerida]

La entrega de Los Oscar 2024 será el 10 de marzo y serán presentados por cuarta vez por Jimmy Kimmel.
